The process, that's what excites me. I first record an image using watercolors, inks or acrylic paints. Next, I layer textures, digitize the image to prepare for printmaking with alcohol-gel or alcohol solution on paper, canvas, or metal. The print, the cumulative process, becomes the artwork; each hand printed and each unique. My passion is one of experimentation and modification.
Two dimensional art comes naturally, as my background is graphics. That's where and when I began looking at life as individual images. I lived nearly 20 years in Latin America and began to document life's images through art. Evolving, I, now, explore the relationships of the process to the finished image.
